Thailand has a system of separate driving licenses for motorbikes and cars, as well as for temporary use (fig.) or more permanent use, as the one shown here, which has a validity of circa five years and is recognizable from the purple band at the top.

On the front, it has in writing the type of vehicle for which its use is allowed, whilst on the back it has a magnetic data strip and pictures of the types of cars, for those who can't read. The license is issued by the Department of Land Transport.
