Royal Thai Naval Academy (former location)

Thailand

The riverfront gate (fig.) of the former Royal Thai Naval Academy at Thonburi Palace (fig.). It has the Naval Academy's emblem (fig.), i.e. three anchors and a chakra, and a text that reads: Rohng Rian Nai Reua Pho. So.  2449-2489 Phra Rachawang Deum.

Translated this means: Naval Academy BE 2449-2489, Former Palace. The Royal Thai Naval Academy was established here in 1906 AD by King Chulalongkorn, but later moved to its current location in Samut Prakan.
