Cypher of the 18th Supreme Patriarch

Thailand

Somdet Phrasangkaraat Chao Krom Luang Chinwaralongkorn (fig.), the 18th Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, was the abbot of Wat Ratchabophit (fig.) from 1948 until his death in 1988, aged 91. He was appointed to the position of Supreme Patriarch in 1974 by King Rama IX (fig.).

Hence, the Patriarchal Seal Cypher of this Phrasangkaraat (fig.), which comprises of his initials in yellow, red and green letters underneath a white multi-layered parasol called a chattra (fig.), can still be found on some large porcelain bonsai pots at the temple's compound.
