The Chiang Mai City Pillar (fig.), also known as Inthakhin, i.e. Indra's pillar’, on the temple grounds of Wat Chedi Luang, where the sao inthakhin was moved in 1800 AD from its original place at Wat Inthakhin Sadeu Meuang (วัดอินทขีลสะดือเมือง), by the Lan Na ruler Chao Kawila (fig.).

 

In comparison to other lak meuang in Thailand (fig.), this one is rather small in size and has been place in front of, and at the feet of a standing Buddha image in the pahng ram peung pose.
