To celebrate 140 years since the first issue of a Thai postage stamp on 4 August 1883 and 140 years of Thai Postal Services, and to commemorate the Thailand 2023 World Stamp Championship  Exhibition, held from 27 November to 2 December at the Grand Postal Building, i.e. the former General Post Office (fig.), in Bangkok.

The evolution of the postal business in Thailand and the emblem of the 2023 World Stamp Exhibition: Design 1. Image of an early postman, wearing the very first Thai postman's uniform, anno 1883 (fig.); announcement letter of the opening of the Postal Services; pictures of an archaic postbox; the interior of a post office building in the early days; and drawings a of an envelop with two hearts, and the written texts: Thai Postal Begin and The First Postman; Design 2. Picture of the nation's first ever Post Office building near the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, known as Praisanihyakahn (fig.); officials delivering payments on motorcycles, with a sketch of a motorcycle; a round red border traffic sign instructing that oncoming vehicles have priority, indicated by a black arrow pointing down and a red arrow pointing up; a letter made into a paper airplane making its way through the air, its flight indicated by a trailing dotted line and symbolizing communication; Design 3. Picture of an early mail truck; a yellow diamond-shaped traffic sign with a thin black inner border and three black curved arrows in a circular motion, indicating a roundabout; the first airplane used to transport mail, that is a French, Siamese license-built, Breguet 14 military airplane (fig.), brought in by the Ministry of Defence in 1919 to deliver mailbags (fig.), thus coining the term Airmail; pictures of early postage stamps, namely: an orangey brown Rama V (1st Issue) stamp with a denomination of 1 Siyaw, issued in 1883 and depicting the head of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) in profile, as well as a 1st Series Siam Airmail stamp with a denomination of 5 Satang (0.05 Baht), issued in 1924 and depicting a flying Garuda; Design 4. Images of postal delivery in the past, with postmen in the uniform anno 1950 (fig.), including a postman emptying a postbox of the type used since 1926 at post offices in the metropolis, as well as in the provinces, where the volume of mail was large; picture of an early postage stamp, namely: a sepia 1st Series King Rama VII, issued in 1928 and depicting the facial portrait of King Prajadhipok (Rama VII), with a denomination of 10 Satang; the round seal, i.e. a serrated, postage stamp-like emblem, of the Postal Department during the reign of King Rama V, depicting the trah phaen din, i.e. the former and unofficial coat of arms of the Kingdom of Siam (fig.), surrounded by a double circle with in it, in the top halve the Thai text Sayaam Racha Anachak Krom Praisanih Lae Thoralek (สยามราชอาณาจักร กรมไปรษณีย์และโทรเลข), i.e. Kingdom of Siam Department of Post and Telegraph, whilst in the bottom part is a similar text in French, namely Royaume de Siam Postes et Télépgraphes’.
