A French, by the Siamese license-built, Breguet 14 military airplane, brought in by the Ministry of Defence in 1919 to deliver mailbags, thus coining the term Airmail. Although the Breguet 14 was primarily designed to be a reconnaissance bomber in wartime, the aircraft was also used to support the welfare of Thai people, flying airmail services and doubling as an air ambulance, in order to provide airlift support for patients in remote areas of the country. In the top left corner is the logo of the National Communications Day, i.e. a stylized messenger pigeon.
