mon khit (mon buat)
Mon khit are rectangular head pillows made from pah khit (fig.), the intricately patterned textile of Isaan, firmly stuffed with kapok (fig.). When offered as tokens of support to men entering the monkhood they are referred to as mon buat (fig.).
