This bloodsucking, worm-like, invertebrate and hermaphrodite animal is a leech (fig.), and is in Thai referred to as taak. This terrestrial species, spotted in Bach Ma National Park (fig.), has the scientific Greek-Latin binomial name Haemadipsa interrupta.
