Khanom nuad mangkon or ‘dragon beard candy’ is a kind of Chinese nougat-like candy.

 

It consists of several thousand fine strands of sugar, which are trimmed in dry-fried glutinous rice flour to prevent excess glueyness and then coiled into a cocoon-like sweet (fig.), known in Chinese as yin si tang, i.e. ‘silver silken-strings candy’.
