inside-painted (fig.), i.e. with illustrations and often
with
Chinese calligraphy
hand-painted on the inside surface of the glass, produced in reverse
fashion.
These kinds of
flasks are usually
flat in shape and
this art is in
Chinese known as
nei hua,
whilst
inside-painted snuff
bottles are
called
nei hua hu (内画壶
- fig.).
