  Wat Phrathat Haripunchai

Wat Phrathat Haripunchai in Lamphun was built in 1064 AD and has several wihaan. to the right is Wihaan Phra Lawo, which houses a statue of Queen Chamadevi (fig.), whereas on the left is the main wihaan, which is known as Wihaan Luang.

 

The Phra Borommathat Haripunchai chedi was built by King Athitayaraat to house some relics of the Buddha. Concurrently, his consort Queen Pathumwadi had the pyramid-shaped Chedi Pathumwadi built, which is named after her (fig.).
