By night, the circa 135-metre-tall SkyFlyer thrill ride, , fully known as ‘SkyFlyers: Wings of Garudapterus’ (fig.), at Asiatique The Riverfront in Bangkok (fig.) rises above the riverfront skyline, illuminated in a cascade of rainbow colours.

Designed to evoke the soaring flight of the prehistoric Garudapterus (fig.), the circular gondola’s rotation generates centripetal force, driving the swing chains outward and creating a sensation of flight.
