  Princess Mother's 95 Public Park

Statue of HRH Princess Sri Nagarindra, the Princess Mother (fig.), i.e. the mother of King Ananda and King Bhumiphon (fig.), located on a hilly, lush green island within the Princess Mother's 95 Public Park, in Trang City.

 

It is built on a circa 280 rai plot of land with a large body of water which has the island at its center and that can be reached by a suspension bridge.

The park is named after the Princess Mother and the number 95 refers to the year 1995 AD in which the Princess Mother passed away, just weeks before her 95th birthday. On the eastern edge of the park is a memorial with a Buddha image seated in the pahng nahg prok pose (fig.).
