Poi Sang Long
Young boys being ordained as novices during the Poi Sang Long festival in Mae Hong Son. They are referred to as look kaew (fig.) and usually of Shan origin.
The boys are dressed up princely and are typically carried on the shoulders of adults as a reference to prince Siddhartha who abandoned his secular life on a horseback (fig.).
