  Phra Lak

Thailand

Phra Lak, the half-brother of Phra Ram, engaged in battle with Tripakkan (fig.), a demon from the Ramakien whom he killed for insulting Rama. In iconography, Phra Lak appears identical to Phra Ram, but has a golden complexion. Thus a depiction in laai rod nahm, i.e. gilded lacquer, where everything is in gold leaf, this could in theory also represent Phra Ram and an asura with a similar crown, such as Saeng Ahtit (fig.).
