Angkhirot
is the name of a
Buddha statue
(fig.), housed at the
ubosot
(fig.) of
Wat Ratchabophit (fig.)
in
Bangkok. It is one of a small
number of Buddha statues cast on the order of King Mongkhut (fig.),
i.e.
Rama IV,
without an
ushnisha or ketumala (fig.),
i.e. the protuberance normally found on the head of a Buddha image,
and has the flame or rasmie
(fig.)
placed directly on top of the head.
