images of venerated
monks
are often found,
they are called
Luang Pho. This particular image is of Luang Pho Thuad,
who is also called
Luang Poo Thuad.
He
is often portrayed with a
magical crystal ball in his lap, which —acording to legend— a
king cobra
(fig.)
spat out on him when he was a baby.
