  HTMS Lanta

Thailand

The decommissioned war ship HTMS Lanta, which sailed under the hull code 714, is today a museum in Krabi. The bow of this specialized Tank Landing Ship, has a large door that could open and deploy a ramp in order to unload vehicles.  It was named HTMS Lanta by King Rama IX after Koh Lanta, an island in Krabi, making it a symbol of local pride.
