The silver & golden pagodas at Shanhu Lake (fig.), i.e. Fir Lake in Guilin, represent the principle of yin and yang, and are also referred to as the Sun and Moon Pagodas.

With a height of 41 meters and 9 stories, the bronze Sun Pagoda is 2 stories taller than the coloured glaze Moon Pagoda, and the two are connected by a glass underwater tunnel.
