Gardens by the Bay is a prominent and iconic park located in the heart of Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Bay (fig.), here seen from Dragonfly Lake at night.

Its so-called Supertree Grove consists of futuristic, ca. 50 metre tall, tree-like structures, that are equipped with photovoltaic cells that harness solar energy.
