 Subject:

King Mongkutklao (Rama VI) and King Bhumipon Adunyadet (Rama IX) in barrister's gowns, with in the background the first building of the Court of Justice, which was constructed in 1882 AD, after merging and moving several minor courts under the Ministry of Justice to the Court of Justice. Depicting the king during whose reign the Bar was established together with the current monarch, hints to the overall period, from the beginning to the present time. The black bar gown is the present official court dress in Thailand and is known in Thai as seua kruy neti bandit (เสื้อครุยเนติบัณฑิต). In red, in the left top corner, is the circular logo of the Bar, which depicts a thevada figure seated in the royal relaxation-position, holding a sword upright in the one hand and a balanced set of scales in the other hand. The figure is surrounded by kanok motifs while at the bottom is a banner that reads Neti Bandit Thayasapha Nai Phra Boromma Rachupatham (เนติบัณฑิตยสภา ใพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์), i.e. ‘The Thai Bar, Under Royal Patronage’.
