A sculpture of Rahula, one of the Eighteen Arahats, who was also the son of the Buddha. He is nicknamed the Arhat in Deep Concentration and is by some believed to be able to become omnipotent and omniscient during meditation. In Vietnam, he may be depicted seated on a mythical lion-like animal (fig.).
