Krasuay, shuttles used in
loom
weaving. These particular ones are called flying shuttles (fig.)
as they are launched back and forth through the shed.
To protect them, flying shuttles are reinforced with metal tips on either end in order to take the blows of the impacts when they propel from one side to the other, ever crashing against the sides.
