A phlabphlah is a royal pavilion used as a temporary quarters for a king when he has to attend, overlook, or take part in a ceremony.

This one, on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, is known Phra Thihnang Rajakit Winitchai (fig.) and was built in the reign of King Rama V for usage during the Royal Barge Procession (fig.).
