A handrail in the shape of a makara in Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai. Also commonly seen with an enlarged mandible whilst a naga (fig.) or some other creature emerges from its mouth (fig.). It also appears as the bow of certain Royal Barges, both ancient (fig.) and modern (fig.).
