The mohng or kong mohng is a type of gong that exists in several sizes, from very small to very large. The smaller version is played  either by hanging from one hand, whilst holding a soft-end  mallet with the other for beating...

... or it is hung from a wooden frame, sometimes arranged as a set of several gongs, as seen here, where they are accompanied by a klong yao (fig.).
