A king kah hua daeng or ‘red-headed lizard’, sitting on a fence, thus living up to its nickname king kah rua, i.e. ‘fence lizard’.

It is also known as Oriental Garden Lizard and the male gets a red throat and neck in the breeding season, leading to the common name Bloodsucker.
