Kama
is
Sanskrit for ‘love’ and ‘desire’. In
Hinduism
this concept is personified in
Kama, the Hindu god of love and desire. Besides this, it is a
theme often celebrated in Hindu art, such as in the love story Kamasutra and
in the erotic sculpted
bas-reliefs of the Hindu-Jain
temples of Khajuraho in India.
