Burmese ascetics or hermits (fig.) on alms round, climbing Mt. Kyaihtiyo (fig.) in Myanmar's Mon State, where they are locally referred to as ithi, a term that drives from the Pali word risi and the Sanskrit rishi (fig.), whereas in Burmese they are known as tapathi.
