This striking perennial shrub, with the botanical name Tecoma stans, is commonly known as Yellow Trumpetbush, Yellow Bells and Yellow Elder. It features vibrant yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers that cluster together and create a vivid display.

It is valued both for its ornamental beauty and its attractiveness to pollinators like butterflies, hummingbirds and bees, such as Carpenter Bees (fig.).
