A plant of the species
Lantana camara, which produces clusters of small flowers
with salver-form corollas. The flowers vary in colour depending on the
subspecies (fig.).
This one
has white flowers with a
deep yellow core, that turn
lilac as they ripen and are
forced to the outside edge
of the cluster. In
Thailand, this species is
known as
phakah
krong.

In the
wild, this species is very
invasive, but it is also
often found as an ornamental
plant in gardens, and its
flowers are highly favoured
by a variety of butterflies
(fig.),
the one
seen here being a

Rose (fig.).
