  Wat Sri Rattana Thammaram

This entrance to Wat Sri Rattana Thammaram, a Buddhist temple in Samut Prakan, consist of a bridge flanked by two golden white singha (fig.). It is built over water on land that was previously used as fish ponds.

 

The high walls of the temple’s spacious ubosot, which enshrines the +12 metre tall Phra Phutta Siri Rattana Mongkhon Buddha statue (fig.), are decorated with elaborate murals depicting scenes from the Jatakas and the life of the Buddha.

The hall of the temple's Chedi contains a reliquary that enshrines a portion of the relics of Somdet Phra Yanawachirodom (fig.), while the ceiling depicts iconic episodes from his life.
