Thailand

Wat Pakung is a forest temple in Roi Et, with a yellowish sandstone pagoda inspired by Borobudur in Java. The top floor consists of a circular wall featuring scenes and characters from Buddhism.

On top of this sits a central dome crowned with a golden spire weighing 101 baht, to symbolize the name Roi Et and surrounded by eight, perforated, bell-shaped, subsidiary stupas, symbolizing the Eightfold Path.
