  Viman Thaen

Thailand

Viman Thaen is a type of kreuang khwaen that is knitted like a net, using mainly jasmine buds (fig.) and some dok rak (fig.) and  shaped with a tapering, roof-like end at the top and an open, rectangular, frame-like space or window in the middle.

At the corners of this window are pink flowers, that are handmade from rose petals and finished with a real yellow flower at its center. Strings of jasmine flower buds hang like open curtains from the top of the open frame to its sides. on the left and right top of the frame, as well as at its bottom, are festoons made mainly of dok rak and yellow jampah flowers (fig.).
