A Thai Pony, in Thai known as mah klaeb, but also as mah look kaew, named after the northern Thai Poi Look Kaew ceremony, in which it is used.

The Thai Pony is a hybrid, resulting from crossbreeding between Mongolian and Asian horses. It came to Thailand with minority groups (fig.), that migrated from China.
