The Hindu god
Shiva
portrayed
in
Cham-style,
with an
urna on his forehead and a
crescent
(fig.)
on the crown that covers his
jata.
He is depicted in
Chaturbuja-style,
i.e. with four arms, and his
attributes include a
trisula
or trident, and a sword. He unites his left hand, that represents his female
facet, above his head with his right hand, which symbolizes his male
aspects, thus demonstrating his creative power.
