A Pied Fantail, spotted in a Bangkok tree. Its upperparts are dark grayish brown to black and its underparts are white, with a broad black band on the breast.

Its head is blackish with a thin white supercilium, i.e. an eyebrow-like stripe over the eye. Its outer tail feathers are broadly tipped white.
