Phra Seua Meuang is the deity in charge of
protecting the country, both on land and in the water. He watches over the
military forces and troops, and keeps the Kingdom free of foreign invasion. In
art, he is depicted standing upright and wearing a
chadah
(fig.),
while holding a
gada
(mace) in one hand and raising a
chakra (fig.),
an emblem often used by the
Army (fig.),
with the other.
