The National Museum of Cambodia (fig.), located in the center of Phnom Penh, is the largest, as well as the foremost historical and archaeological museum in Cambodia.

The museum houses many of the treasures of the country's long and rich past, including one of the world's largest collections of Khmer art.

Its buildings are inspired by Khmer temple architecture, and have multi-level roofs adorned with chofa.
