Thai Red Cross Society's National Blood Centre
The National Blood Centre of the Thai Red Cross Society in Bangkok is adjacent to the city's snake farm (fig.), where venom is obtained from poisonous snakes to produce antidotes against snake bites.
These snake serums are produced in the society's Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute, and are both for domestic use and export.
