Statue of Nakhon Sri Borirak, the first governor and founder of Khon Kaen. As an official of Suvarnabhumi, he became the progenitor of the Noen Phra family, which also includes distinguished lineages such as Sunthon Phithak, Phan Phah, and Setthaphumrin.

 

Before assuming this position, he served as an official in Thurakom─Hongsa and resided in the Lan Xang Kingdom of Vientiane. He had previously been Kwan Ban, i.e. head of the village, in Chi-lon of Suwannaphum and lord of Ban Don Phayom Meuang Phia.
