VENOMOUS! This snake is semi-dangerous. It has a hemotoxic venom and its bite is rarely deadly, though severe envenoming is possible and potentially lethal. Whereas its untreated lethality rate is unknown, it is known to have caused deaths. Besides its bite is likely to cause significant local injury at the bite site, it may also cause headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, dizziness, collapse or convulsions, and moderate to major local and systemic effects, including coagulopathy, i.e. excessive bleeding or clotting.
