A Little Egret spotted at a riverbank in Ayutthaya. This white wading bird has a mostly blackish bill, blackish legs and yellow feet. It already has long back- and breast-plumes, that generally start to grow towards the breeding season.

Then, it will also develop long nape-plumes, and the facial skin and feet will become reddish in colour. On the right, another one spotted near a canal in Thonburi, near Bangkok. It also has the long breast-plumes of the breeding season.
