Phra Phong Suphan (พระผงสุพรรณ)

Thai. Name of a popular and well-known Buddhist amulet from Wat Phra Sri Rattanamahathat in Suphanburi, and in certain styles also known as Phra Phong Suphan Pim Nah Kae (พระผงสุพรรณพิมพ์หน้าแก่), Phra Phong Suphan Pim Nah Klahng (พระผงสุพรรณพิมพ์หน้ากลาง), etc. It is seated in the maravichaya pose, also known as bhumisparsa. It is believed to posses supernatural powers, offer protection against weapons, and convey kindness. It is part of a set of five amulets, that are collectively known as Phra Khreuang Benjaphahkhih (fig.), which are associated with the five elements, and of which Phra Phong Suphan represents the element of wind.
