Lawka Dotha Mahn Aung Pagoda in Inwa is located next to Myinmo Taung, i.e. ‘Mount Meru’ (fig.), the sacred and golden mountain.

Mt. Meru is believed to be the centre of the Universe and the abode of the gods in Buddhist cosmology. From top of this brick tower-like structure, accessible by a spacious outer staircase as well as a narrow inner stairway, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the area, including of the adjacent ‘Conqueror of Worldly Anger’ Pagoda (fig.).

From here, the general layout of the temple compound, with the brick surrounding wall and masonry edifices at each corner, is also clearly visible.

The rooftop of Win Ga Bar (fig.), i.e. the next structure over to the west, even offers a bird's eye view of both edifices.
