An adult female Pileated Gibbon (fig.), which is also known as Crowned Gibbon. Males and females have different fur colourations and marking patterns.

Females are creamy white-grey with a blackish belly, face and head, whereas males are black with a white ring around the face (fig.). They also have long shaggy hair on the sides and back of the head.
