The Green Magpie, also known as the Common Green Magpie, is a bird in the crow family. It normally has a vivid green plumage (fig.), but this specific adult is worn and as such has a strongly bluish plumage. Its underparts are slightly lighter and its tail is long and white-tipped.

 

It has a black mask, that runs from the bill to the nape, through the eyes, which have a reddish-orange eyering. The bill, legs and feet are also reddish-orange.

In addition, it has maroon-chestnut wings, with whitish markings, bordered above with some black.
