The Desert Rose (fig.), also known with a variety of other names (fig.), such as Impala Lily (fig.) and Sabi Star, is a popular ornamental house plant.

They have thick stems and often their tuber-like roots are partly exposed above ground making them ideal bonsai-like pot plant.
