Portrait of King
Maha
Vajiralongkorn
in Royal Vestments (fig.),
wearing the
Crown of Victory (fig.)
and seated on the Putthan Kanchanasinghat (พุดตานกาญจนสิงหาสน์) Throne (fig.),
during the Royal Coronation Ceremony on 4 May 2019, when he ascended the
throne as King
Rama X.
The number ten of his crown title is embossed in Thai (๑๐)
and in gold at the bottom centre of the floral frame.
In the top right corner of the stamp is the King's Royal Signature, i.e. a
chadah-style crown with the initials V. P. R. (ว.ป.ร.), which stands for
Vajiralongkorn
Prom
Rajatiraat
(วชิราลงกรณ ปรมราชาธิราช), i.e.
‘Vajiralongkorn,
Greatest King of Kings’.
It is printed against a yellow background (fig.),
which refers to the colour of the King's day of birth according to the
sih prajam wan-system
and which corresponds to a Monday. |
