Portrait of King Chulachomklao (fig.), who founded the military academy, as well as a picture of King Bhumipon Adunyadet, who is conferring a sword to a graduating army officer, with in the background the former building of the academy in the back of the Saranrom Palace (fig.) in Bangkok, where today the Royal Thai Survey Department (fig.) is located. On the left side is the emblem of the academy against a red-and-yellow backdrop, and the text and date: Centenary of Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy 5 August 1987, both in Thai [Khrob Rob 100 Pih Rohngrian Nai Roi Chulachomklao 5 Singhakhom 2530 (ครบรอบ ๑๐๐ ปี โรงเรียนนายร้อย พระจุลจอมเกล้า สิงหาคม ๒๕๓๐)] and in English.
